ADDITIONAL COSTS
Testing:
Testing fees are standard in most Martial Arts Schools. Testing is the method by which a student is promoted from rank to rank (color belt to color belt.) The testing fee is charged for each test. Tests occur every 6 – 8 weeks up to Blue Belt. (White belts will occasionally test earlier than 6 weeks.) Testing from Blue belt up is at the discretion of the instructor. Testing can be in 2, 4 or 6 month increments depending on the progression of the student.
Fees: Average $45 to $55 per test, through the color belt ranks. Black belt testing fees are higher.
Equipment:
Students are eligible to spar after earning their orange belt. Sparring equipment consists of the following items:
Hand gear
Forearm Pad
Shin and Instep Pad
Foot Gear
Head Gear
Chest Protector
Mouthpiece and case
Athletic supporter and cup (males only)

Patches:
Proper uniform includes the Young Brothers Tae Kwon Do school patch along with the United States and Korean flags. All students are required to have the proper uniform. The first set of patches is provided by the school. Subsequent sets must be purchased.
Price: $5 per patch ($15 / set)
Handbook:
The student handbook is a required part of training for each student. The handbook is a major source of information regarding classroom procedures, required Korean Terminology and detailed information on the requirements for each belt level from white to black belt.

AAU Registration:
The AAU (Amateur Athletic Union) Memebersip year is from September 1st thru August 31st the following year. The fee is $12/year for students and $22/year for adults (18 and older). This fee is not prorated.
